CROWNS OF ILLUSION

The collection translates the raw energy and futuristic vision of the line in ultra-luxe materials, exact craftsmanship, bold shapes, and textures. “ Is our reality an illusion?” This question is at the heart of the Crowns of Illusion collection. In a society where boundaries between real and fictional are porous, questions surrounding the way we perceive reality have grown.

This collection explores the concepts of the Illusory world that we live in and the way we express what we know. All the sensations, perceptions, desires, do not exist except in our consciousness. The entire world perceived by us is just a reflection of ourselves, a creation of our own fantasy, a phantom host, a delusion, anything but reality. Anything that can be said about time, for example, is extremely vague. Our human language is absolutely inadequate to the spatial expression of temporal relation. Its true essence is inexpressible for us. This is the sign of the truth, the sign of reality. What can be expressed, cannot be true.

Alexandra executes a new approach to the garment and surface construction, creating intricate architectural handwork, using laser-cut elements inspired by sound waves as collar details, leather manipulated with chevrons to create three-dimensional structures and knitted crinoline. The collection features a 3D printed headpiece made with polyamide printing by iMaterialise, in collaboration with the 3D artist, Alejandro Delgado.
